Friendship is a Priceless Gift that can
not be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater than a mountain
made of Gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither
see nor hear
And in the time of trouble it is powerless
to cheer ..
It has no ears to listen nor heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort or reach
out a helping hand.
So when you ask God for a gift be thankful
if He sends
Not diamonds, pearls or riches
But The Love of Real True Friends.

Now ... that's what I call supporting a
friend in need ! The little guy above appears to need all the help he can
get ! And have you ever seen more adorable helpers ? Those are three puppies
with whom I could easily fall head over heels in love without even thinking
about it.
Everyone needs friends to offer a helping
hand at times. We have many acquaintances in life but true friends
are ones which you can count on the fingers of one hand and be extremely
fortunate if you don't have fingers left over. You have to earn the type
of friendship which has value and will endure anything which life may throw
your way. It is very definitely a two way street. As the years go by
acquaintances may simply come and go, a true friend is there through thick
and thin and is one you cherish. Life's ups and downs only strengthen that
tie.
Every day, in the world around us, our
friends are doing the things they do which made you choose them as a friend
in the first place. Real friends build bridges instead of walls. They don't
play games with the truth and they don't have hidden agendas. When you
are hurting their first thought is 'what can I do to help?'
A true friend will always give you the
benefit of the doubt and even when a missunderstanding does arise they
don't hold things against you. They don't expect others to live up to standards
that they for the most part cannot live up to themselves. They are there
to hold your hand and walk with you when you do face problems and
support you when you need it most. Although they may disagree and not hesitate
to voice their opinion, they respect your right to disagree with them and
to make mistakes at times with no thought of censure or 'I told you so's'
when you do make a wrong choice. You are their friend and that is the bottom
line.
As the years go by old friendship is the
dearest kind of all as old friends share rich memories that are precious
to recall. Through the years you come to realize how deeply you depend
on the comfort and pleasure of a lasting lifetime friend.
If you are fortunate enough to have a friend
who fits the description above .. hang on tight! They are a priceless
treasure.

"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched
hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship;it is the spiritual
inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that
someone else believes in him and is willing
to trust him with his friendship."
- Ralph
Waldo Emerson
